Mr. Yousef Al-Taha
   

Yousef qualified as a Medical Laboratory Technician in Dammam, Saudi Arabia and has worked in public diagnostic laboratories for many years. In his move to Melbourne, Australia, Yousef joined RMIT University where he completed his bachelor degree in applied medical science and Master degree of Laboratory medicine majoring in Haematology and blood transfusion science. While completing his master degree, he worked in various roles as university demonstrator in RMIT university teaching in the practical classes; for Transfusion Science, Haematology and Immunology. In his return to Saudi Arabia, Yousef has worked as a senior technologist in red cell reference section of the regional blood bank in Dammam. Then he was appointed as the quality coordinator & training officer. Currently, he holds a chief technologist position in the blood bank department and enrolled in the Fellowship Program of both; the Australian Institute of Medical Scientist and the Institute of BioMedical Science in the UK. Yousef published and presented many papers locally and internationally.

   

Mr. Nasser Al Towaileb
   

Mr. Nasser graduated from College of Applied Medical Sciences, King Saud University, Riyadh in 1995 as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist. Following internship, he was employed as a medical technologist by MOH hospitals. In the 1997 he was appointed as a blood bank quality assurance coordinator in Dammam regional Blood Bank and later as the blood bank supervisor in 1998. In the year 2000 he joined University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, Texas, USA, to undertake training in the specialty of blood banking technology (SBB) followed by certification by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP). Mr. Nasser then returned to regional blood bank where he continued to work as blood bank supervisor until 2005 when he joined Saad specialist Hospital where he achieved the first CAP and AABB accreditation for blood bank in a private hospital in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Currently Nasser is the laboratory manager and blood bank supervisor at Saad specialist hospital.

   

Mr. Majdi Awal
   

Majdi qualified as medical laboratory Technician in Dammam, Saudi Arabia and work in the Blood Bank department of the Dammam Regional Laboratory and Blood Bank for many years. Later in the years Majdi enrolled in The University of Bahrain Undertaking a bachelor degree in Business Information System. Being interested in the management aspect of transfusion medicine, Majdi held many managerial positions in his carrier as blood banker starting as assistant supervisor in 2002, Supervisor in 2005 and general coordinator of all blood banks in the eastern province of Saudi Arabia in 2008.
